We stock a wide range of mountaineering equipment for all types of activity. Walking crampons and axes for winter skills courses and Ben Nevis guided walks, technical ice axes and crampons for winter mountaineering and climbing, walking poles and mountaineering boots for spring and summer.
Our winter boots are top of the range La Sportiva B2/B3 boots which means they are perfectly suited to winter mountaineering and climbing.
We are not tied to shop opening hours, so you can collect your kit when you arrive in Fort William the evening before your day in the mountains or as early as you want in the morning.
Hiring kit is a more sustainable option compared with buying your own. If you hire kit you don't need to travel with your own and you won't have to store your own kit at home not being used for most of the year.

All our kit is booked through our website. Select the kit and the dates that you need and complete the booking form. Live availability of our kit is displayed so that you can be sure we have your kit in stock.
Collect your kit from our pick-up point or have us deliver it to your accommodation in Fort William.
After your adventure, drop off the kit with us and we'll wash and dry it!
You can collect your kit anytime after 6pm the day before you use it and drop it off anytime before 9pm after you're done.
Our boots are made by La Sportiva who have a size conversion chart here. If in doubt, go for a slightly larger size than your normal shoe or trainer size.
All our kit is very high quality and durable. Damage is rare beyond fair wear and tear, but we know that accidents can happen and kit gets lost sometimes. If you accidentally damage or lose some kit, please inform us as soon as possible.
Depending on the extent of the damage or loss, you may incur additional charges. We'll assess the damage and discuss the cost with you. We strongly recommend reviewing our rental agreement for specific terms and conditions regarding damage. Our goal is to ensure you have a positive experience, and we appreciate your honesty in reporting any issues.
Yes, you can swap boots for a different size during your rental period. If you want to, simply contact us and we'll work with you to make the exchange. Keep in mind that the availability of other sizes is limited, so it's a good idea to read the sizing guide to get the right boots first. We want to ensure that you have the best boots for you, and we're here to accommodate your preferences if we can.

Inverlochy is 10 minutes walk from Fort William town centre and close to the start point of the Ben Nevis paths.
Yes. Select the delivery option at checkout and we will deliver your hire kit to your accommodation in Fort William for £10. Make sure you add your accommodation address in the Additional Information box at checkout.
